Advice with upgrade, Opteron 165

Hi guys/gals I really need to change my processor it's getting pretty ancient now!

I can't stomach paying nearly £800 for an fx60 or even £550 for an fx57.
What I have seen is an AMD Opteron 165 BNIB which is dual core and has 2 MB of L2 cache. Can get one of these for a stomachable £250. The stepping on the one I have seen is CCBWE 0551WPMW Code OSA165DAA6CD

Been reading that these can almost match an fx-60 when overclocked.

Has anyone got one of these? I would like some information on how it performs before I buy and go nuts with the overclocking, Cheers :)

I have the Opteron175 and it will overclock to 2.9gigs at 1.6v but that is higher then I want to run the voltage so I keep it at 2.7gigs at 1.5v.
I would get the opteron 165 if I was you because you want be disappointed,I know it is a crap shoot to how well one will overclock but these opty do a good job,I am pretty sure it will do 2.6gig from all the reviews I have seen and probally more,just get you a decent motherboard with good overclocks settings in the bios.even the X2's do a good job at overclocking these days ,but the opty's seem to do it a little better.
