I wish I could do 1500 mem clock on my GTXs!and if there would be no 7900GTs with 512MB memory this card is one helluva deal imo.

That is seriously one bad ass card. I still want to see benchies of the BLISS GLH GTX 512 card. Kudos to Gainward on some serious tweaking instead of some mild overclocking. I hope they come back to North America. :(

watever

wow.. nice card. I wonder what the benches would be like if they overclocked the card from 450 to like say 500.

I just think its a couple of months too late. With the 7900gt around the corner, i dont think there would be any point in buying the card.

Going by the unofficial info. 7900GT scored almost the same 3DMark06 score as the 7800 GTX; ~4K and it may not come in 512 MB flavor initially.

7800GT GLH is already faster then 7800GTX and has 512MB Memory the .ru review shows it can be OCed too.

Speculation: 7900GT256~7800GTX256 < 7800GT 512MBGLH

EDIT:added comparison between 7900GT and 7800GTX256MB both at stock speeds.

I guess enthusiasts looking for the best price/performance option available should try to wash their hands off 256MB cards.

This card, like all other Gainward Cards, is going to cost alot more then the normal GT not making it worth the purchase... Might aswell just get a GTX and OC it.

BTW The card, like all other Gainward Cards, will have to be shipped internationally since Gainward does not support the American Market. Gainward also does not warrenty them directly (Must contact retailer first and they will contact Gainward) unless purchased through their own site... and even then it would be a pain due to over sea shipping.

So if your not in Europe, do yourself a favor and buy another manufacturer...

Of course it costs more than a regular GT, it has 512MB Vram and is faster, also it costs less than a GTX 256 thats the point.

OCUK:

*BFG GeForce 7800 GTX OC 256MB / Price: 294.95 (346.57 Including VAT at 17.5%)

*Leadtek GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB GDDR3 / Price: 264.95 (311.32 Including VAT at 17.5%) Regular speed GTX

*Gainward BLISS GeForce 7800 GT "Goes Like Hell" 512MB / Price: 229.95 (270.19 Including VAT at 17.5%)

I agree with you on your last point, shipping it to USA will cut down its price/performance advantage but a good deal for EU.

hahahaha

yea they definitely got ripped off. look at the upper left hand corner, exact same capacitors and everything. im sure they were either both going off a reference design, Gainward owns that company, or one of them bought the rights off the other.

Yea same PCB shows they both use same resources for this card most likely Gainward is the provider or thats how we are inclined to believe.BTW seems that they are not a small time company in China, they also make ATi cards and lots of other nVIDIA cards.who knows maybe they just put there sticker on the fan.

I've just bought one!!

Stock clocks are 450mhtz core 1.3ghtz memory. Optimal are 534 and 1.44!!! LOL

It is still very quite just like its normal GT brother which is why I like it. Reviews show it neck & neck with ATI X1800XT 512mb which is a bit of a dustbuster.

I want the performance but not the noise.

Very impressed indeed. Tomorrow I will bence some games but 3DM03 at stock is 1,000 points higher and nearly 2,000 points at optimal.

At optimal I score 8140 in 3DM05 compared to vanilla GT of 6885.

Cheers

Look how much it costs though... it seems like a great performer but guys, look at how much you are spending when the next line is only 2 days away!

I dont mean to thread crap... it just drives me nuts :o

Sold my vanilla GT and bought this for 50. Bargain!!

Just played COD2 at 1280 4xAA & 16xAF and it was tremendous.

Just think the extra ram and clocks will outperform the 7900GT IMHO. Don't think the extra 4 pipes will make much difference.

Just my opinion.

Man you need an X2 to finish it off nicely, say like a 3800 and OC the hell out of it.

Im thinking about getting one myself as i need the fastest single slot cooling card i can get and was thinking this would be better than a 7900GT 256MB card.

Hey mg1973 you'd better be quick. Gainward have only made 2,000 of these Golden Samples and the shop I bought mine from has sold out.

Worth trying the links on the 1st page.

Cheers
