I need to purchase either the Quadro FX 1400, 1300, or 540 (professional video editon) for a new system build for NLE but cant decide...
I will be doing video editing (NLE) using after effects7, premiere pro2, and avid so Im not worried about 3D apps so much. Most importantly, I want to take advantage of OPenGL 2.o for after effects 7 and premerie pro 2.0 realtime previews and GPU rendering.
1) Will after effects 7 openGL perform better or the same with the more expensive card? ie: 1400 over the 540?
If the performace only matters as far as 3D apps like 3d studio max and performs the same for NLE then I will go with 540 because it is way cheaper. What can I really expect as far a performace diffrences in the real world?
2) I like the HDTV out of the 540 and wonder why it is not offerd in other higher end models.
3) If you dont plan on using SLI then is there a reason to buy the 1400 over the 1300?
