From what I have heard, nvFlash seems to be the one to go for.

Just use nvFlash v5.25. And you can use the below commands! Now if you can provide your Original BIOS a lot of things can be changed to increase the performance like clock, memory timings and so on.

nvFlash v5.xx Commands
"nvflash -b backup.rom" (Backup the BIOS) => Always do this!
"nvflash -5 -6 newbios.rom" (Normal BIOS Flash)
"nvflash -4 -5 -6 newbios.rom" (Forced BIOS Flash)

thanks,

not sure im going to bother TBH, benchies @ 460/1300 only showed an improvement in synthetic tests, games were 1-5 fps higher (which is pointless).

Sorry about that, I realise that is not what you asked for.

OK - flashed to 460/1300.

No problems with the flash - have to see how the card fairs over time........

ttfn.

was a legit point. do not think you need to apologise, but whatever makes you happy:)
i dont see the point in taking a chance trashing your card when the same results might be gotten without messin with the bios.jmo.
maybe he could not reach those speeds normally? of course that also tells you the card is not happy at those speeds too.
sounds like it worked for him so that is cool.

i flashed mine with the winfox util (leadtek)
settled on 475/1500 i tried voltmodding with that nbitor 'hack' didnt make one bit of diff still get artifacts >480core in ATI-tool.
was hoping for 500core ah well its still a decent card :)

OK well, flashing is quiet safe as long as you have tested the clocks your flashing to first. you make a good point for the noobs though.

Shame about your core clock - most are over 500 as you say.

Mine auto detects @ 497/1440 but I settled for 450/1300 as the benchies were the same bar 1fps.

As long as you have tested your card and you know that it will run at higher clocks then IMO I think it is safe to flashed it so it will run at a higher clock,I flashed my two 7800GT from day one and have no problems what ever running them at a higher clock, but that is not to say ever one will have the same out come.
