Hi

I have three 4500G cards and I cannot get the frame-lock setup to do anything. The indicator lights are green on both ports and the genlock light is red on all three systems. The nvidia-settings program has an entry page for framelock but Use house sync is always set - when I try to uncheck a message at the bottom says 'Framelock could not establish master'. the only button that is not greyed out is the 'Add X Screen' button. When I click it and try to add the machine I get 'Unable to add X screen to framelock group'.

Since the documentation for this is basically non-existant could someone give me a few pointers that has this working? At least more than I do?

This is a Fedora 4 system, updated, firewall off, xhost +, 8178 driver under linux.

Thanks!

Problem solved!

Pretty dumb - gdm has an option to block any and all access to the X server - had to turn that off. Not a firewall or xhost issue at all.

Hi nagini,

I know this post isn't the newest.

Where/how did you shut off the gdm access control ?

Thanks,

Patch /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf on the slaves with the following:
(It may be that changing DisallowTCP to false is all that is required for the nvidia-settings program to be able to configure the Framelock network)

Note that these changes may have significant security implications. They disable access control to the X server.

Thank you very much for posting this tip--it was seriously throwing me for a loop.
Everything is fine now with the lastest (100.14.11, x64, Quadro FX 4600, GSyncII) driver.
As hinted above the
DisallowTCP=false
was all that was needed. The disabling of access control (-ac flag) made the GNOME default greeter app choke, so I removed those mods.

What is the difference between an internal auditor and an external auditor? & Do they have the same power? What exactly an internal auditor do different from an external auditor?
Does an internal auditor checks only procedures without checking the financials and the accounting figures!! How can I go about internal audit? Do you recommend specific site that I can visit? I would like to thank you in advance for your help.
