For what its worth guys, a 3000+ Athlon 64 is clocked the same as a 3800+ X2. So any benchmarks that dont take advantage of dual core arent going to much lower (if at all) on this system than a low end X2.

I agree though, it seems odd that they would use a low end A64 and only 512Mb of RAM to bench a new high end card.

For 3DMark06, the score will be signifcantly lower with a single core CPU. Probably over 1,000 points.

It is too low as the 3D05/06 score is about the same as a Xfire X1600XT rig. Having said that the cpu is pretty damn slow and the xtra overhead for sli etc.

funny i'm browsing the net and you linked to my 3dmark score, its actually an opteron 144 proc guys and when my ram comes in this week i'll be up a lil higher, current oc is 252X9 and my rams not so tight on the timings
just oced the video card from 475/685 to 500/750
