Boomer Game GFFX not rip-off...

I feel kinda bad for thinkin bad vendor thoughts for the past couple days...:(

dang... folks at ot[h]er sites are eating me alive for stating "give this a chance"... like everyone's gonna thinks it's a scam UNTIL somebody gets a card...

It's like picking teams in a schoolyard football game... you don't know how "that" kid runs with the ball till ya throw it to him...

I trust Mike's judgement on this, as he wouldn't have put mention of this *right on the front page* if he didn't have a high level of reassurance...

I think the buyers that DID have purchases go thru will be gettin some nice cardz...

I still think its a scam myself, there is no information to back up thier clams that they will have these cards, and even if they did, sell them at such a cheap price? The site doesnt even have any pics of thier game, not even any concept drawings :confused:

"I had hoped to be leaving on vacation tomorrow under more pleasant circumstatnces, but that's not possible at this time.
There were some allegations made on behalf of nV News in regards to a GeForce FX pre-order program at the Boomer-Game web site. We referred to their pre-order program as a possible scam without any concrete evidence.

While we are always looking out for the best interests of our visitors, we have managed to disrupt another company's business. Therefore I am issuing an apology to Steve Mitchell, the CEO of Frozen Lung Entertainment, for our actions.

We take such issues on a serious note at nV News and do not shy away from taking measures to rectify these incidents."


where in the hell did he say that this is not a scam? He just apologised for making the statement that it was a possible scam.

you have posted this everywhere that it is a "FACT" that it is not a scam. What makes you think that it is fact?

Because I believe Mike. He made a judgement on behalf of this site apologizing for making claims that damaged a business...

and I agree with him.

In orderfor him to make a statement like "we have managed to disrupt another company's business", what was said must be based on some fact or conviction.


The title of my thread was an opinion, just 180 degrees from the threads that say "Boomer Game IS rip-off".. I was attempting to give a contrasting image... "thread marketing 102", if you will.

I just agree with some others that this situation was dealt with wrongly by some parties, resulting in misplaced opinions, judgements, and hopefully NOT misplaced GFFX's...

you still do not tell how you know that they are not a rip off...
by you posting a thread that they are not a rip off, you are just as bad as when it was posted that they were a ripoff, you are posting an assumption, period.
