XFX to offer a 750 mhz version of the 7900 GTX 512?

quite impressive..if this is real....

I hope EVGA can step it up.

blast! can you move this to the Rumors section?

I seem to call BS on them, they're XXX edition is 700 mhz, they have a version at 690 mhz, and one at 650 mhz, I think that's enough as is lol. And even if they do, I'm sure the eVGA Superclocked versions that we purchased will easily OC to 750. LOW LOW LOW temperatures with 90nm core = high OC potential! :)

Just got off the phone with XFX.... the price sheet I got had the wrong specs. When I asked were those specs came from. They said it was a mistake. (Kind of strange as I got the pricesheet yesterday. )

What do you guys think?

BTW I was told the XXX edition is not available yet. So the fastest part now form them is 690. Anyone find the XXX in stock?

Fastest card out at the moment for EVGA is the EVGA 7900GTX SUPERCLOCKED 690MHz/1.76GHz

KO Series Coming Soon.

The fastest is the XFX 7900GTX XXX which is clocked at 700/1800.

After the fiasco XFX had with their E7 model 7800GT, and the fact that they actually refused warranty service on it, I went with EVGA. I would NEVER buy an XFX card, no matter how cheap or what advertised clock speeds.

I say why not, inq was talking about 750 on the core for 7900GTX.I know they throw every possibe number out there to have one of them right eventually but there's a slight possibility that (very)few cores could actually hit that speed.and I'm sure nV would not just throw them away.dont you think?

I think that the overclock potential on the 7900's are very VERY high. Considering the new die size and all, less voltage ='s less heat. A very efficient design is very much on the market now.

According to that guy's review he got the core to 1ghz, mem 2ghz. I highly doubt that he's telling the truth though.

Well even if he did its not on air or water for sure.Still there are EVGA's Black Pearl and Gainward's whatchamacallit Watercooled Cards to come, thats where maximum speed of factory OCed cards will be set imho.

Well the title of his review is "WOW 1GHZ CORE ON STOCK COOLING". That's why I think it's not true.

ooops didnt see that.

lol what was he thinking when he posted that?I think Egg's reviews need a little mod action sometimes.

Can't you just step up?

It's the effort now to ship my card, wait a week without it (hence no computer), wait for it to be shipped back. Blah blah blah, what a waste of time.:(

Ouch I bugged my eyes out reading this, why dont they use paragraphs? Is that a new way of being cool?

It says there would be yet another model on top of KO version called "Signature Version" and also possibility of a 1GiG 7900 whenever games on the market demand that much ram at full max setting.(as we already know G71 is designed to handle 1GIG.)

Nice row of Overlocked Cards from EVGA.

YEAH! I'll wait for the EVGA 7900 KO
BTW Zipzoomfly has 5 models of the XFX 79 GTX's with 650, 665, 675, 690, and 700MHz Core's.
But I prefer EVGA, and not just because I MOD there. It is the EVGA Service and Support.

XFX's Extreem line up is kind of silly to have so many close parts. I wonder if they really do bin that closely. if so, then I doubt there is much o/c headroon in any of them past the specs. Id their 690 part can't be o/c'ed to 700 easily then that would be pretty lame.

Typical,

After launch, new models of the same GPU will show up with many different specs. This is starting to become a trend. It is not wise to buy on launch day in my opinion because a "Super Duper" version or card with better cooling is a few weeks away.

Also, is seems confusing which memory modules are being used as well. Are all GTX Cards coming with 1.1ns (bj11) Samsung Chips? I have seen advertisments for the cards that say 1.2ns(bj12) Samsung Chips.

Hey Kieth, If you bought the EVGA 7900 GTX SuperClock outright, than You are eligible for the EVGA Step-Up Program. Which is pretty sweet. Look below:

That is HOT!!!! Only thing though, if you've been watching my thread lately, it seems I got a defective Superclock version, so they're sending me a new one today or tomorrow. Not sure if that counts as my step-up lol. :(
