Is any rummor, news, telephatic message, etc... about a 7600GT in AGP. For me is my "dessire" and for Nvidia in PciX or AGP 7600 is their "horse battle".

Thanks.

PD. Please excuse my english.

anything is possible but I wouldn't expect to hear about it any time soon.

its really a shame how ATi and nVidia have abandoned AGP when its such a large share of the market still. thats they way things go though :(

My guess is there will be a 7600 AGP fairly soon.

Let's just hope Nvidia doesnt release like a slow 8-piped 7800GS and sell it for 250$ or something.

I don't think they will as the 7600GT is on par with the 6800GS soo they may not, they will sell the 6800 alot cheaper now. But they are trying to force people to PCI-E.

The 6800GS agp is overpriced and probably expensive to produce (cuz of the old 256-bit nv40-core). I think Nvidia will can that one soon, and they'll have to replace it with something, even if it's a half-arsed 7600 with the same performance.

I don't think we'll see a 7600GT in AGP. The 7800GS seems to be the last decent gaming card for AGP. I'm not planning on replacing my system until the debut of Conroe later this year. Then, look out.....

you will see your foot up your ass according to those boys. they speculate on everything possible just so they can say they were the first ones to print it if it does happen.

A 7900 GS for AGP also comes out!

I also saw that Inquirer article. Anything's possible. AGP certainly isn't dead yet and won't be for at least a couple of years. About 70% of all PCs are still AGP. ATI and Nvidia can't ignore this fact.

They certainly want people to jump onto the PCIe bandwagon, as witnessed by the release of the 7800GS, which is useless to us with previous generation high-end cards (6800GT/Ultras or X800XTs). They probably figure that if we have enough money to spend on those kinda things, getting a whole new system is no problem for us.

They'll have to do a redesign of the 7600GTs PCB, to fit the PCIe->AGP bridge chip and that'll add to the cost.

i doubt anything new will come out for AGP, with the 7800 GS we've had our last hura, AGP is dead, they're moving on, it's just too expensive for nvidia and ati to keep catering to a dieing breed....

Yeah, thats what everyone was saying before the 7800GS came out only it was the 6800GS that was supposed to be the last hura.

A 7600 in AGP form would be exactly what I'm looking for to put in my new HTPC. All the AGP 6x000 cards seems to have issues with WMVHD and H.264 decoding, but an AGP 7600 should handle that fine, plus possibly play some games at my projector's native 1280x720 resolution. The 7800GS would work, but it's just too expensive for a machine that just sits there most of the time.

I'll have to keep an eye out for one of these, especially if they fall in the sub-$200 range.

I dont see it happening, if you check your reviews you'll see the 76GT is faster than the 68GS, 68GT & 68Ultra. Its performance is in the same bracket as the 78GS (I know I've owned both cards now).

I actually returned the 78GS as it kept locking up and went for the 76GT + PCIe SLI mobo (which cost less than the 78GS!!)

@ 400/1200 (BFG stock) my 78GS scored 6400 in 3D Mark 05, the 76GT scores 6250.

Just to give you an idea of were the 76GT falls inside the big picture........
