I'm enjoying Ridge Racer.

The only thing I don't like at all is the rubberband cheating AI on rails. Trying to win a race at high levels is more a mater of luck than skill. It's a distrubing trend in gaming that single player AI so often sucks and it's made artificially too difficult by cheap tricks rather than a credible human-like implementation.

If you want an arcade racer get Burnout instead.

I think the demo is meant for the US market alone as in Japan and Europe sales are fine (RR6 is actually the best seling Xbox360 title in Japan followed by Dead or Alive)

If they pulled out the demo maybe is because it has some bugs that need to be ironed out.
