Anyone know if the regular 7900gt has the same exact memory as the CO versions? There seems to be a 200-260 difference in speeds. If its the same memory then ill just step up to the regular gt, stick my silencer on it, and overclock the hell out of it.

That's a picture of the RAM on the SC version (off the review on the front page), do you know how to interpret those numbers? (I sure as hell don't lol)

They're all 1.4ns, even my xfx 7900gt which runs at 550/1630 has 1.4ns ram, optimal frequency is detected at 1680 :)

Take a look here: http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconductor/common/product_list.aspx?family_cd=GME1001

Here is the part number decoder:
http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconductor/Support/Label_CodeInfo/Graphics_code.pdf

Look at the pic I took of the chip in the review that keith33 referred to and use the decoder and you have the info.

some guy on anandtech has his 7900 gt ram at 1860. Thats with a waterblock on the gpu and copper ram sinks on the memory.
