So who's gonna be first? Certainly not me, half the time they spell death :flame:

Interesting default voltages for 7900GT vs 7900GTX

GPU = 1.2v vs 1.4v <-- 7900GT core limited by voltage :)
Mem = 2.02v vs 2.12v

Now i know why Nvidia won't allow software voltage adjustments for these cards as 7900GT would be more attractive i guess heh

it's not going to be me. haha No way no how. Software np, hardware no thanks. I used to hate having to unlock old cpu's. So I'm definatly not touching this one

Its not confusing, its teasing. Some results would be nice :(

I would like to volt mod a quad-sli if I can get my hands on one.

So there won´t be a chance to increase voltage with a newer Nibitor version in the future?

I'm wondering what's the default GPU voltage on a eVGA 7900GT Superclocked. Would it be 1.2V like the vanilla 7900GT card?
If so, my guess is that the G71 chips used on the 7900GT Superclocked cards are top of the line and give room for more overclocking when this Vmod is used. With an aftermarket cooling solution of course.

As described in the article, I measured my XFX 7900GT (550/1630 one) with the multimeter and the results are:
Vcore = 1.196V
Vmem = 1.99V

Makes me believe that even the eVGA 7900GT Superclocked runs at same volts as vanilla 7900GT. But of course, you dont know XFX

yeah probably same volts out of the nvidia factory just each brand manufacturer hand tested each one to ones which did better got bios reflashed for the higher default speeds

So, no more modded BIOS for higher Vcore?

Correct, they all run at the same voltage.

Well, looks like some folks at xtremesystems.org got a couple of modded BIOS with 1.3v and 1.4v for Vcore.

Cant wait for the "My card is dead" threads. Hopefully I would not be one of them.
