I have a feeling we will see a review of some sort on Monday :)
Anyone else ?

As volt said (1 minute earlier!!), looks like we may in for GFFX reviews on monday, also according to MuFu the NV35 and NV36 are a lot closer than anybody thinks. Maybe the NV35 is what nVidia will reply to the R350 with...?
But is the NV35 just an optimsed NV30, faster core, less cache latency etc. Or have nVidia been beavering away making some larger scal changes under the hood?
I think this is going to be a very interesting six months, and at the end of the day it'll be last man standing and there'll be some really powerful, really cheap graphics cards floating around :D
I beat you by 1 minute man :)
EDIT: I Merged both of them heh

Awight then, I'd better edit my original post so that it makes more sense :D
I've also got a feeling Monday's the big day. Finally! The wait has been so long...
Someone who got a card to review at a german magazine already posted some benchies:
http://www.beyond3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4008
It show a 30% advantage over the Radeon 9700 Pro in UT 2003 Flyby at 1024x768 @ 2X AA & 4:1 Aniso
My bet for the NV35 remains August. I think MuFu was refering to the common conception that the NV35 was going to be released around October/November.
Oh, and the NV30->NV35 boost is a bigger one than Radeon the 9700 Pro->NV30 boost. Hopefully, that is :D

Traditionally, PCGH has produced some of the more sensible reviews in German print mag history, but Thilo has to hand in his review by Monday, Tuesday morning the latest, poor sod.
looks like modays the day, reviewers are being told to hand their reviews in by monday... i guess thats when the nda expires... im happy cuz i have no school that day!!! im gonna be refreshing pages all day long:D
we might be able to find some previews earlier from message boards and stuff, if we know any reviewers who post there
something odd with those benches though...the Ti4600 beats the gf fx on the bot match benches w/o aa and aniso....2 fps or so i think...strange eh? However their bot benches with 2XAA and T aniso were all limited by cpu as they all get the same results. Still its interetsing that a4X2 architecture beat a 8X1 architecture that.

god knows why UT2003 is used
D3D benchmarks are severly cpu limited and hardly ever give decent clear cut results..
best wait for opengl scores, ideally Doom3 test demo?? ( i WISH)

I'm still waiting for a simple review on whether the actual cards are as loud as the beta ones...
My bet for the NV35 remains August. I think MuFu was refering to the common conception that the NV35 was going to be released around October/November.
yea, I'm thinking first week of september at the latest...it'll be interesting how it fits in with the r350 and r400 performance wise..
Glad to have you aboard :)
I'm 100% sure we won't see 256bit on NV30 (not even a refresh heh). NV35 ? Maybe :)
NVIDIA will have to switch to 256bit bus sooner or later. You can't milk the core/ram forever :)
Question: what makes you think we will see reviews on monday?
The info they have sent to various websites indicates that in no time we should see one. Monday sounds good :)

Why all of these early benches and the stuff from NVIDIA that was released back a few months ago all focus on low AF and low AA or non at all?
Who cares if quake3 is 250FPS or 200 FPS. I care now about
1. Image quality
2. 60 FPS without hitching, dips etc (great work MS on ralisport with NVIDIA cards)
960x540 HDTV with 4xS and 4X AF looks fabulous but it too damn slow on a GF4. I want to see 4x/6x AA against the ATI.
I suspect the FX will loose here however for 2 reasons
1. If they were not going to loose why not show the numbers early
2. The raw memory bandwith seems to be key with high AF/AA. By overclocking a GF4 memory or ATI you get the most bang fo rhte buck as AA/AF increases.
Well, we will see monday I guess.

I have to agree.
Nvidia used to tout their hardware weeks in advance to show that their card is faster and superior to the competition. But with the FX it has been in quietness forever. We "still" don't really know how powerfull it is over the competition. I find it odd as well that the only benchmarks we see so far are only using 2X FSAA and the such for Ansio. Is it me or will Nvidia only allow certain results to be shown? So far none of the leaked or rumored results show any settings higher.
I still find it strange that 3DMark03 will probably be debuting around the FX launch. To me it seems like Futuremark and Nvidia are working together in some aspect. I mean if it's strictly only DX9 compliant why the wait? They had SDK's of DX9 for a long long long time. It's funny that their release is Q1 03. Sound familiar to a video card release from Nvidia? Why they seem to be waiting for the FX card to debut before releasing iit s beyond me if it's not going to favor any of the cards. Or is it? Hmmmmmm. Just my two cents on the 3DMark03 thing.
God, I hope Monday we see reviews. I still find it completely amusing we have only seen benchmarks of the Quadro board over the consumer edition. Hehe.

Something is fishy about those benchmarks. I think they are from the Prototype a month or so back. Strangely enough, the maximum PC review was simliar in the test except the 9700 was 10 frames Higher in the flyby. Well, heres to D-day. I look forward on monday to see a review finally.
And to make a quick mention of UT2003 benchmark, its probably one of the harshest benchmarks but the worst for Video Cards. Because it requires alot of cpu as well. It doesn't make sense that the FX loses in botmatch with the amount of data pushing through it in polys (especially when the Ti 4600 wins). So, as I said, I think we'll get a real idea when the benches hit. This one seems shady.
The R350 might have the advantage in a higher bandwith (I'm believing the 6gb's comment than the 10gb's but will see!) but it will not when it comes to clockrate. The FX will still be faster and probably more powerful in the polygons than the R350 as that will be clocked at 400-425mhz. They are aiming for 425 suposedly. True that it could be like the AMD theory that, it doesn't need to be clocked higher to be better, but this sucker will be running real hot and its hard to say if it will be faster than the FX by the GPU speed (Not bandwith wise, but sheer polygon handling/vertices). JUST BRING US THE DAMN BENCHMARKS NVIDIA.

Ahh why did you spoil the fun
No I don't have anything.
I really feel bad for Nvidia about this..Its like watching an old Gladiator being slain by the new challenger. Tough to swallow but you can't change reality. R350 is probaly going to be my next purchase.

And that is based of what  I want to see what both the GF-FX and the 9700 can do in 3dmark2003 :p

I don't know why everyone cares so much about 3DMark03. Please tell me you aren't basing your purchasing decision off of it smokey? Wait until people start testing it out on "Games" you actually play now. Like Morrowmind, UT2k3, Serious Sam II, etc... 3DMark used to be usefull, but it's not really anymore.

Dude, nVidia still has a very healthy market share; they aren't going anywhere for a very long time. Don't forget they also have a motherboard chipset that is currently selling quite well.
Also all evidence points toward nVidia being ready with the NV35 for the R350 release.

K.I.L.E.R,
I play Avernum
That's an interesting looking game. It reminds me of old school type of RPG games back in the day. Something you would see on the Genesis, Super NES, etc...
The game doesn't look to 3D intensive. Is it demanding of the video card? The game I've been playing is Battlefield 1942 and I'm hooked on the "Phantasy Star Collection" for the GBA. :D
