Rumor #1 - quad sli
but is this a new gpu?
Rumor#2 - 32 pipe 7900 series
does one exist? it would explain the low price point for the 7900gtx
Rumor#3 - ???
something new, have we been completely bum-foozled? ;)
thoughts?
...#4 - G80 for the very early adopters? :D

Number 1. Quad SLI and the 7900GX2 (2x 7900GX2 = QuadSLI) But no, its not a "new" GPU; its the G71 at lower clocks.

I dont think it the Quad SLi cos Nvidia already announced it back on 9 March. A 32 pipeline 7900 is possible, I think it probably be nForce 5. :)

yeah, thats the thing.
the 7900 series isnt a "new" gpu, we all know its a re-tooled 7800 series.
the quad sli has already been announced, there is info on there website about it (marketing at least).
the 7900 series cards are "cheap" comparatively to the 7800's they replaced.
dubya tee eff?(ack)
why would they release G71 at lower clocks? is there a demand for that market?

Announcing something is one possibility, but whats if its the actual launch of QuadSLI and the GX2? While I do think that NV could design a 32pipe 7900 (clocked around 500-600mhz), I would say its almost IMPOSSIBLE that they could have kept it such a secret for so long and all out of sudden launch it. It makes no sense because the current 7900 cards are compeditive as well.
Nforce5 however is QUITE realistic as well, with AM2 around the corner (I know its kind of a disappointment) and RD580 as well, it would be in Nvidias interest to release a new chipset that kicks some ass.

The 7900GX2 is basically a sandwitched SLI 7900GTX with 2x 512MB. They had to lower the clocks for thermal reasons because the 2 PCBs have maybe 1cm (or even less) space betweem them. Now I wouldn´t be surprised if a manufacturer would release a watercooled version of the 7900GX2, which would be clocked significantly higher.
Its going to be the new NF5 chipsets.

Umm... Sorry for being stupid, but has nVidia announced that something will be announced in 4 days?
Oh whoppe do. Chipsets for me is the least exciting thing to get hyped up about. Cant wait to see how quad sli performs. I wouldnt be able to afford it but I can dream :D

Same here. I don't think I'll be getting it but I'm really interested to see how it performs. Maybe Monnie Rock will get it and let us all know how it is. :)

why would they be releasing the nForce5 already? isn't that the AM2 socket with support for CPUs that aren't public, yet? also it says GPU. i honestly believe it's just the 7600 GS.
