hey Guys,

Now I've NEVER connected any kind of PC to a TV set in my life - I dont watch TV myself and in fact dont own a TV for that reason.

However I have a friend that wants to connect his 68GT to his TV for watching movies but does'nt know how.

The card itself has got DVI & VGA outputs - he needs the vga for his CRT monitor so that leaves the DVI free for TV output (if possible)

Could someone tell me how to get a signal to his TV with either VGa or DVI.

Thanks - help a TV noob.

What type of connections does he have on the TV or AV reciever that it's going to be connected to (DVI/HDMI, VGA, Component, Composite)?
And this 6800GT doesn't have an S-Video Out?

If the TV has a DVI or HDMI or Componet ( red-blue-green )
1. if the TV has a DVI ( video ) use that.
2. if the tv has HDMI ( Video & sound in 1 ) get a HDMI to DVI adapter.
3. if the tv only has Componet ( red-blue-green ) there should be a adapter for the 6800gt adapter to componet.

I use a 6800GT DVI to my 65" Mitsubishi HDTV DVI. I have in the TV PC 4x400GB HD's with 85 Movies each, then I use Media Portal ( http://www.team-mediaportal.com/ ) its free & better then Windows Media Center. Then I RIP all my movies into .ISO files and get Deamon tools to mount the .ISO's ( media portal will use this as a plugin ) then click a movie, it mounts and plays. I use PowerDVD 6.
