I just got a new BFG 7800gs and have got some really weird video problems.

I am running the new 84.21's, P4 2.4, 1g Corsair ram, XP sp2.

I am attaching some screenshots and system info. Any help would be great!

I had a BFG 7800GS a few weeks ago and had no end of issues with the card, hard locks, re-boots, rainbow coloured screens etc etc

that looks like the card is overheating to me.

Check your agp Apeture size. Also you might have a bad ram module on that card. I would return it if thats the problem. U can download a program called nvidia vga test tool in dos mode it will say pass.

Try ATITOOL and run some core/mem tests .

scoots, looks like corruption from either bad ram on the card, a bad gpu, or overheating. either way I would send it back. :/

No overheating (max of 60c on gpu), and I had the same problem on a 6600 that I got before this one. My original card was a Ti4800 that worked fine. This is the 3rd card that has done this (2 6600 and this one).

The 6600GT I'm using here had a similar problem when new. Popped the HSF off, and the thermal grease looked like dried dirt. Cleaned it up, applied ArcticSilver3 on it, and it's worked fine ever since.
