Great news. The 360 may see a WOW or GuildWars after all.

A portable from Microsoft I dont think will be a bad thing because of how much time and money they have invested in the mobile business.

Talk about feeling pressure from Sony and game developers... During the Xbox days they were steadfast on keeping it closed (they even refused EA) but now that Sony has announced their plans and other developers have said they had no interest to bring games to Xbox Live (Arena.net didn't like Xbox Live) they go and change their mind.

Good move for MS.

I don't think the network has ever been totally closed. If it was, then Capcom wouldn't have been able to discontinue the Campaign mode for Steel Battalion: Line of Contact a year and a half after the game was released. I honestly wish MS would be a bit MORE strict about these things, like not letting developers discontinue their online support when you're still paying $50 a year to play online through their network.
