I been playing everything HL2, DSII and tons of demos etc @ 650/1500...within 5mins of Oblivion it was artifacting like crazy...I had to basicly drop the mem to default.
I called a friend to see how he liked the game(dumb question..hehe) he has an AGP 6800GT that been running for about a year and a half at the same speeds, no problems what so ever....sure enough Oblivion caused him to have to throttle back the cards mem...
I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else....?

Mine are factory overclocked so I haven't had any issues. I haven't tried overclocking them any further.

I did have a single system reboot. I'm running 84.20 BFG 6800gt OC 415/1114 but I also just had to downgrade from my IC7-G back to my IC7. From what I can tell it might just be the IC7 can't handle the same 220fsb 1:1 2-3-2-5 but I hadn't had any problem for the past two weeks until Oblivion. I backed it down to 200fsb. No issue so far. I'm back on stock cooling and a junk case so it might not be Oblivion.

No,but my cpu overclock of 2.55Ghz had to be scaled back to 2.47,as it was overheating. :( But then my card is not oc'd excessivley so...
