can support Windows 98SE with a hacked driver? I emailed ATI already, and according to the response the X1800XT is not supported under Windows 98SE by ATI's drivers I would assume, the email wasn't very specific.

I think you are out of luck with the X1x00 series on Win98:(

I guess you could say I had wishful thinking. That's one of then nice things about my X800, it's still supported as of that latest 6.2 Catalyst for Win98. I keep the machine that I'm moving to an X1800 running an old OS for compatiblity purposes with some older software I own. I thought maybe someone like OMEGA might un-offically support it, or some other 3rd party driver modder/hacker.

Looks like my days are coming to an end for that old proggy. I have heard of something called "dosbox?" for XP? Supposed to be a very compatible DOS emulator for XP... hmmm... need to research that.
