hmm looks like its frequency bound & dosent take advantage of dual-cores.

Second system 4800+@2.4GHz (640x480 , DoF enabled)
score : 1869 raymarks , avarage fps = 8.11

It crashes 3 out of 4 times for me, and gives an avg. FPS of 0.00 when it does run :D

I'm going to download it again, just in case...

Edit: no luck, redownloaded it, reran it, still 0.0 FPS. It sure looks like more than that, though :D

1821 Raymarks, 7.91 Avg FPS
That's running with my 4400+X2@2.41ghz and 6800GT OC@stock (370,1000).

Maybe it's more of a GPU bench? It doesn't even use up a full core.

3500+ @ 2.4 same settings.

score: 1832 average fps 7.95

Half way through the average FPS just drops down to 0.0 and stays there.. so I guess that means 1 raymark for me.

But from watching the FPS my real average is around 8.9.

1959 Raymarks
8.50fps

This is a damn cool looking test. I cant wait till games can do this :)

EDIT: 1845 and 8.08 fps with DOF enabled

Dont forget to check out the other benchmarks too... hit the little button near the top right in the main menu. The house global illumination and ray tracing tests are awesome. I really hope some day we can buy cards that will do real time ray tracing and global illumination in hardware. These effects are probably the future of real time graphics, its just a matter of getting them to run at a useable speed. Hopefully something like this is next after the Ageia physics cards :D (long shot, i know)

Yeah i think RT Raytracing is the future .. or next-next-gen gaming technology that might come into real usage after DX10 .. long shot as you said!
