Nvidia is leaving a serious hole here with the $399.99 segment. I can't afford a 7900GTX and the 7900GT only has 256mb or RAM and is $299.99. So does anybody think something will come soon that fills that void? I am hoping for a 512mb 7900GT.

More ram wont make the card any faster, and certainly isnt worth the 100 bucks.

yeh, i completely agree, it would be foolish to try and find a card just because it costs more money, if you really want to spend more money and get a better card, buy a 7900 GT, and buy a Zalman heatsink, or nvidia silencer, or the Tt tidewater, and invest your money into that so you can overclock it up to 7900 GTX speeds, and have it run cooler, you win on all fronts, you have a cooler card, a faster card, and a cheaper card

Try getting the highest Overclock Editions of the 7900 GT those are around the 350US mark... Those are more worth it then any benefits 512MB VRAM will bring

I wouldn't touch anything made by Gainward or PNY for that matter with a ten foot pole.

because the starter of this thread obvoiusly wants something that he can spend more money on, yes, we know, it's a foolish request, and what is wrong with Gainward, they are an amazing company, it's too bad they don't sell to the NA martket anymore

Gainward sucks because their naming scheme is shady for their cards, and their website just sucks badly. I got burned once by buying a GeForceFX 5600 Ultra something or other and it was only a standard 5600, they just tacked the name Ultra on the end for some unknown reason. Also it actually was clocked about 100Mhz slower on the core and memory than any of the other standard 5600's at the time! I promptly returned that shiz.

quit complaining and just buy something for $300. seriously, or would you rather them price a 300 card at 400 just so you can feel better about paying more?
