clearing the cache on my xbox 360

well i am experiencing problems with my copy of oblivion, for the xbox 360, anyway when i walk along a path in the forest things in the background just tend to load up suddenly and the detail in the mesh just suddenly loads up, does anyone know why this is happening? its really annoying! also how do i clear the cache on my xbox 360? somebody said this is the problem and needs to be cleared for more room...is this true

Cant help you with clearing the cache but I bet Evilchris or OWA would be able too.

I think you're supposed to hold down any button while Oblivion is loading to make it clear the cache. I haven't tried that but that's what I've read.
