My 17" CRT can do 1280x960 at 72Hz (which is a pretty usable gaming resolution for older stuff like Quake 3 with AA/AF) only problem is, I have to force it to use 72Hz. Because NVIDIA drivers for some reason think the monitor is capable of 75Hz at that resolution. I guess the DCC calculation is a bit off.

I don't suppose there's any way I could "tell" my drivers that it can't use 75Hz?

Hmmm..

You could do what you should do and install the monitor driver file?

I'm not positive, but that really should take care of the issue.

Monitor "drivers" only contain the same paramaters for DCC that can be obtained through VESA.
