Filezilla Server and WindowsXP firewall, please help

I finally want to set up my own ftp server and everything is working as it should except that when the integrated Windows firewall is activated, no one from outside can access my server, although I added Filezilla Server as a program to the exceptions list.
Also I am a little confused by the passive mode settings. Do I need to change something there and if yes, what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello.

Do you have a router with NAT? If so you'll need to forward port 21 so that people on the internet can connect.

I don't have a router at all. But I figured out how to adjust the firewall by myself. Thanks anyway!

How did you go about fixing it?

I went into the advanced firewall settings of WinXP and checked the box "ftp server" under services of both, my dial-up connection and the network card it goes through. I would probably need to check only one of them, but I dont know which one, so I let it be for the moment.
