First posting to a forum ever and my age exceeds the amperage ratings combined (well almost) of my Antec NeoHE 550.

This power supply has the following voltage/amp ratings and I need assistance to discover if I must go out and buy yet another PS. Gosh, I hope not but want to correctly install new card/

NeoHE 550 Ratings= +3.3v @24amps; +5v @20amps; +12v @18amps; +12v @18amps; +12v @18amps; -12v @.8amps and +5vsb @2.5amps

My question?? Instruct says that 7800GS needs 400 watt minimum (mine 550watt) with 12volt current rating of 20amps minimum.

I admit to confusion over #rails and have read enough on forums since last evening to realize that there are a lot of differing answers out here on this type of question. If there are any of you out there who would be willing to share your knowledge I sure would appreciate the help!

System spec: AMD 3700+ 939, ASUS K8V Deluxe agp, 2G Patriot SLL, 2 x WD Raptor 74.5, Raid pkg of 3 x 400gb Seagate Sata, 2 x Plextor DVD/CD+RW, XFI Audigy, Logitech G15, Logitech THX 5.1, Skype voice

Thanks to any who reply.....Highlands

I am running my 7800 gs co superclocked listed in my sig on my good old 340w(360w max load) chieftec psu that came with pc back during the geforce 4 ti 4600 days. I haven't had any problems so far at all with this psu and my current set up. I'll probably end up getting a new psu one of these days anyway though just to be safe, but really my system has been running perfectly stable with my psu. It's kind of funny how BFG Tech recommends a 400w psu and evga recommends a 350w psu even though the evga model has a higher clock speed than the Bfg model. Anyways, if my psu can power my 7800 gs, I don't see how your more powerful psu would cause any problems.

550w can power an SLI setup so nothing to worry about.
