Hi there
Recently, I purchased a nVidia Quadro FX 4400 Graphics Card for a Workstation operating under WindowsXP.
One reason why was because I previously have administered various perceptual experiments using dos-based software (developed from C-code with an old Turbo-C compiler) of which the graphics specification in the programmes were for a VGA graphics driver (640x350, 16 colour, 2 screens of memory) but we now want to run similar type experiments but using graphics at the much higher screen resolution of 1600x1200 - hence the need for a better graphics card. However, in trying to run programs with the same basic code I have come against the problem that Dos-based programs in Windows 2000/XP will not run graphics in anything better than standard VGA resolution. Therefore, I want to try and run our programs in Windows98 operating system using the Quadro graphics card but appreciate that the graphics drivers provided by NVIDIA for the nVidia Quadro FX 4400 Graphics Card is supported only in Windows 2000/XP.
So my question is this: Is there a Windows98 (or Dos-based) graphics driver that can support the Quadro FX 4400 to the extent where we can display 2-dimensional graphics at 1600x1200 screen resolution? If so, how can we go about acquiring such a driver?
Thanks for your help with this matter.
