My system specs are below. I just received my XFX 7800gs OC yesterday. I installed the card, and when I booted up my machine my monitor flashed on for a moment and then went off like it didn't have a signal. I have a crt that I'm plugging into the VGA port on the back of the card. I have an Antec truepower 550 power supply, with 30a on the 12v rail which should be more than enough for this card. In the original setup, I had the molex connector split off between a hard drive and the video card. When I unplug the hard drive, I get a picture and it boots into windows (it was a secondary drive).

My question is, does this card need a dedicated power connector that doesn't have anything split off of it, or did I just get a defective card?

Thanks in advance for the input.
