sod the bus, are you actually going to pay prices like that???

no thankyou - I could buy a new frickin CPU or GPU for the same or in some cases LESS money.

Havok FX looks a lot more consumer (wallet) friendly to me.

Remember back in 1996 and early 1997 when Voodoo Graphics was the only 3D accelerator worth the name, and the only cardmaker making a card with it was Orchid?.... it was ridiculusly expensive. Then Diamond released a Voodoo Graphics card, the original Monster 3D, and prices on both the Orchid Righteous 3D and the Monster 3D fell to just about half of the original price...

Something similar will happen to the Aegia PPU cards once more than one cardmaker gets their product out the doors...

Is there even a single game out now that supports this? What's the rush to go buy one ASAP?

I'm with you on that one....

They must make a packet on the British market, unbelievable prices ...as if the cost of living aint high enough here already.

The thing about ocuk is sometimes they have really good prices other times they are the most expensive hardware store in the UK. I never buy from them.

I'm not sure if this is an Official release or not but that could be one of the reasons the price is high.

Did I? :p

If I did, it was probably before the X-Fi came out.

Anyways, I would buy one of these if it was worth it... but at the current price it isnt. Thats a pretty weak list of games IMO. UT2007 and Gothic 3 are the only ones I've even heard of.

Never heard of Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, City of Villians, etc.....????

Did you even read my list??

Are you even a gamer??

If you really think thats a weak list of games, developers and publishers then I have nothing else to say to you. Your hopeless.

I'm gonna need the PCI-E version cuz I'm out of PCI slots already. I'm not gonna sacrifice my AUDIGY for PPU sound card comes first.I dont see why they didnt launch both versions simultaneously.

CaptNKILL
04-09-06, 03:05 PM
Heh, whoops. Missed those few at the top.

And yes, I am a gamer. Thats a big list, but its 90% games that no ones ever heard of. That doesnt mean they are bad, but I dont know... Gothic 3 and UT2007 are the only ones there that even remotely interest me.

Its not a bad list, I just dont see much for me on there...

I don't see the PPU taking off till UT2007 comes out and ppl get to see movies with and without physics in UT2007. I think the price is retarded, I think there painting them selves into a corner with that price and you know Asus's card is going to be even more money.
