Does anyone else have trouble with the input on the nForce2 onboard audio? I'm using the stock 2.4.20 kernel (i810_audio driver), and playback is fine, but I can't get any level on my microphone, no matter how I play with the mixer.
Haven't tried it under Linux yet, but I get the same thing in Windows with an nForce 1 board. It does record, but the level is pretty much inaudible. For reference, I'm running an Abit NV7-133R, which is uses a RealTeck ACL650, if my memory serves me...

in windows, the driver had a checkbox at the bottom saying something like "mic db boost", which seemed to do the trick. I don't know if the issue is the same in linux, and if it is, how to enable the same thing...
Hmmmmmmmm i've got the same problem as you ; I've got a shuttle SN41G2 on linux slackware 9 (2.4.20).
I had to use the mic for my miro PCTV (need to connect the audio output of pctv to mic to have sound enable)
And seems to not working :(
If anyone know something about this tell me :o)
