I'm not a programmer so I don't know anything about coding etc. But could someone explain to me why does data get corrupted. I'm not talking so much about corruption in network traffic but rather on something like a hard drive.
Let me explain. I come across a PC that for some reason can't boot up with someones specific local account. It boots up fine with the administrator account and in safe mode. But with the ladies own account, not. It worked the day before but not the next day. I didn't know how to fix it so I just did a system restore to the week before and everything was fine. What the hell happened. And somebody knows what ... why?
I know that Windows doesn't like to be restarted very often, I think because of all the stuff that is loaded in the RAM that must first be written back to the hard drive, but why does it only sometimes happen that data is lost or corrupted or just messed up and other times not?
