I'm going to build a new PC as soon as Intel Conroe comes out (which should be in June). I heard the next-gen DirectX 10 Geforce 8 Series will come out in June. Can anyone confirm this?

It won't be until Q4 2006 or possibly even later. The DX10 cards won't be released until much closer to the launch of Vista.

Wierd... From the rumors I read, Nvidia was going to pull a-la-Radeon9700 Pro stunt. Basically pull a card with DX10 capabilities half a year before the software API comes out, much like the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro was with DX9.

I take evrything Cooltechzone says with a a grain of salt. NV have poopoo'ed USA...but it maybe incorped into G80 who knows. Rumours persist with some that g80 has tapped and not missed it's tape out as suggested by inkwell

I know what a silly article. I hate sites that just post every stupid rumour even though they are incredibly unbelieveable.

Even if that is true... ATI used the same basic core for how many years and through how many generations? All their high end cards have been just revamps of the 9700. The 6 series for nvidia is basically the same as the 7 series and both are extremely good. If Nvidia just upped it to 32 pipelines and added DX10 support I would be happy. ;)

nv is pratically printing money with 7900GT. it's in-stock for about a day and back to auto notify.
I think nv is not in a hurry to put out new models.
how's the unified architechture working out for ati? anyone?

No way that is true, somewhere in an interview (i think B3D) with the NVIDIA CEO he said they have been working on this for 4 years

Well it all depends If the r600 is a brand new core or not. i wouldnt like to see nvidia being outdone in the features department.
