Why is everything else 8x, just OS support is 2x !?
Chipset drivers are properly installed (latest Obelix nRemix 8.22.2), graphic drivers are latest 84.30 (but i have seen the same in all drivers before these, even official ones).
I'm using fully updated Windows XP SP2.

Looks weird. Any ideas how to set it to 8x ?

This is an "issue" that has been repeatedly brought up in this forum. It's normal. Don't do anything.

Yeah, i had no idea what to search for so i just posted it.
So it's working in 8x even though OS reports just 2x (i know there isn't much difference between 2x and 8x but anyway, it cought my eye...).

There is a big difference between 2x and 8x but 4 to 8 not no much if any. AGP2x uses 3.3V on the slot and 4 and up use 1.5 V on the agp slot no something to wurry about these days and yes thats was documented back in the day when xp came out its a windows thingy.

Okay what the hell, I just used the tweak to get the page, and I noticed that Fast Writes are disabled.

What the hell?

It says OS support is "No" and Optimal is "No", but GPU and Chipset support is "Yes".

I want my damn fast writes!

Update: Fast Writes get disabled after resuming from Standby. Bizarre! After a quick Google at least I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I wonder what's happening?
