This is just silly now. Too many trolls being nothing but rude. I understand and like ribbing but please have some respect for the dead. ;) I am sure Nvidiots did the same thing when the 8500 tanked but ATI fans say they are more of a customer friendly company eh. Doen't seem like it to me. Well that's my rant. I am off to troll Rage3D. ;) :angel2: :angel:

This is what I miss. I miss the influx of fanboys and the ensuing flamewars. I miss getting to clean up spamthreads and seeing how fast I can track a troll through the video card section. Oh, for the days of moving posts and chewing on fLamerz and spitting back out empty shells... Heh, Everyone at Envy is just too darn nice, and we all get along - I need to clean up after a good fight every once in a while!
The forums here have survived worse.

Please don't judge all peeps with an ATI card by the actions of a few crazies having fun, we've all been burnt for too long to pass up the opportunity. ;)

(BTW-Be VERY careful trolling R3D and don't forget your asbestos underwear, they're ruthless over there. ;) )

BTW I did like the joke about the BFG FX card.
I bought a BFG GeforceFX and all I got was "free stuff".

One thing I liked about this forum when I came here was that the core of users really weren't "fanboys" with no loyalty to any company. I've switched to ati at the moment, but I still feel at home here. I think in the olden days it was considered best just to ignore trolling... Just like the old rule that it takes two to argue.

Well at least most of the nvidiots are not bunch of liars and agreed that this card is simply not performing well. Not to mention "our silent running feature built-in to the GeForce FX is truly innovative" :D
On the other hand I doubt this would happen among the ATI community where they would crown the product even though it's crap (No flame intended).
My biggiest gripe is that in an effort to feel better about them selves (when they were second dawg in the video card world) ATI fans keep saying that Nvidia was a evil company and ATI was good and friendly. This is such a bogus argument. Every company has it's way of spinning it's product. Now watch them reargue this point.
Any way as I said I am getting a 9700pro because I like the top card for the money not the top company, wich is "how it was meant to be played". ;) ....and no I am not going to mod a cheap card to get a top of the line card. I want to pay for a card that runs the way it was engineered and oc it a lil. I have heard to many posts of artifacts resulting from the mod.

Do yourself a favor and look into Unwinder's patchscript in the latest RivaTuner called "soft9700". It's JUST A DRIVER TWEAK, fully reversible by a driver re-install. (You apply it to one of the .dll files in the Cat3 sets before you install it, like the aniso fix for the GF3-4. :) )
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

You've been pimpin' this tweak all over for the past 2 days like crazy, yet, you haven't tried it? I mean, c'mon man, calm down about it, you don't even know if it will work the way its supposed to. Once you get actually perform it for yourself, report back with your findings soldier!:mad: :p

But unlike you, I'm "takin it back to 2k1" with my 8500dv AIW...
As vidcard for HTPC, won't see much past 800x600, but pretty much ALL goodies'll be able to be turned on... yeah!
I actually need to go (for the first time) over to rage3d and get some feedback on my card's potential...
...wish me luck, I'm goin in!
