Only thing the release notes mention is a profile for TR: Legend.

We all know there are bigger changes than what's in the release notes. Bugs being fixed that they want to pretend to never have existed, performance improvements so they appear 2% faster than ATI in the latest popular games, etc.

Weird. I think I'll wait until they put them up on NZone or Official area. Will these be Beta or Official Release, anyone know?

modded .inf attached - should cover all cards now.

rename the file to what it should be before you use it obviously.

Well, according to the Release Notes, those cards are supported by these drivers. Geez, any chance NVidia screwed up again with the wrong .inf file? *shakes head*

Give them a break. They haven't actually released the drivers yet, otherwise they would be on nvidia.com or nzone.com. Let's wait until they post it there before we accuse them of incompetence.

I modified the inf to support my 7800GS.

These drivers have a marked improvment in HDR rendering speed, 5-8fps improvement in rthdribl.exe.

I'm goning to test 3Dmark (03-06) and oblivion, something tells me oblivion should hopefully get a boost in HDR also.

Edit, 3Dmarks are all within margin of other drivers, tied my best 06 mark.

well nothing good or bad to report yet, ill go fire up some benchies and see how they do.

EDIT: RTHDRIBL is running no faster than before for me.

Well, they've done it after releasing drivers before, so... And I think I said I was going to wait until they did release them on the site, one way or another, just to be safe.

It looks like they updated the drivers at 11:57 AM PST. It seems to have all the 7000 series entries like:
NVIDIA_BR02.DEV_00F5.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS"
NVIDIA_G73.DEV_0391.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT"

it's up on nzone http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_winxp_2k_32bit_84.43.html

And installed ok without additional modified inf file.

I installed these right over top of 84.30. Oddly enough, the control panel from 84.30 works with this set as well (I can directly load it from my tray tools). One thing I do like about the new control panel is the overclocking section. I am able to be more precise when overclocking the memory, sort of like RivaTuner.

any word on the ones that released from nzone and their hdr performance? As well as for instance olivion performance outside in general?

Can someone with a normal rig post if there are any performance improvements in Oblivion and Tomb Raider Legend ?.
I don't want to sound offensive, but i'm not exactly interested of what these drivers do performance wise to a 1000$ video card combo.
So, single card users, any improvements ?
Thanks.

I can check both games when I have the time, both are installed on my system with single 7800gtx.

I just installed them and am letting my mx1k charge alittle forgot to recharge it overnight =(

I have a single slot 7900 gt 520 xfx card. I will post my results after. I cannot say if it is only minimal improvement remember as the engine fluctuates drastically anyways. and I'm not one for averaging frames. But I will let you know if i get any iq or drastic frame improvements. Or if its worse.

EDIT: Ok i have checked them out my performance finally seems more stable. So much so I turned grass shadows back on. But remmeber my grass density is set at 120 but the render distance for grass is 2x the normal max distance. I'm not going to put frames here mainly because well I have so many tweaks to my ini that it would be pointless. But I can tell for a fact it is much more stable with this set. As in consistant frame rates with oblivion. As for IQ, I'm not sure if its placebo or not but the IQ with hdr looks alot better then it did before to me. now i'm not sure if this is because of the consistancy in frames now or justa placebo effect with 'somthing new'. I'll let the guys who do the comparison stuff do their thing. To me personally these drivers feel alot more solid then the previous 84 sets.

Is it just me or do others seem to be getting the same results?

Do these fix the next gen content performance problem in Tomb Raider Legend?

Well, ****, guess I'll download these and run the ol' benchmarks again.

If you guys do the benchmarking stuff please remember to reset your oblivion ini's to default max details and not the tweaked ini's most of us have. That will help in the longrun.
