very nice!!, I was simply amazed by the 7600GT when I first got it.

Memory should clock upto 1600/1700 easily, my card came clocked @ 590/1600, the core will clock upto 610 and the memory will go over 1700 but I decided to stick with 590/1700.

Seriously kicks the ass out of the 68GT I moved over from and it cost 100 less!!!

also in SLI these things kick some major butt for under 300

what CPU are you running it with??

Im running with a 3.2 Ghz P4 with 2 GB ram. It was only supposed to be a temp. pc until Vista (i got my x360). But the 7300GS i have now is just not good enough :(
And i need something new to play with.

well it will do a great job of holding you over until Vista - thats my plan with the card also.

How well does it perform in new games? HL2, Q4, Oblivion ect?

on the system in my sig I play at the following:-

FEAR = 11x8 res, 2xAA max game settings less softshadows and it runs @ 42/73/166 (min, average and Max framerates)

CSS stress test @ 1280x1024, 4xAA, 8xAF, max everything runs at 105fps.

HL2 plays very smooth at the same settings.

Doom3 and Q4 run so darm fast its not worth bothering with benchies!!!

Oblivion plays @ 1280x960, 2xAA, 8xAF - frames ahead to 0 + a few .ini tweaks (grass) and it runs @ 30+fps outside no problem.

I got the Leadtek insted :)

Btw superfly what speed does your card run in 2d mode? My card is running 560/1400 in 2d mode...is that correct? Also the card seems to take a long time to spin the fan down to silent mode...

Superfly

yeh mine runs at the same speed in 2d as in 3d so dont worry about that.

and yes the card does take a while to spin down after closing a 3d app.

if your running at the stock clocks of 560/1400 then you should see some nice gains going upto 1600 or over on the mem.

Ill try that :)

Maybe a bios update could fix the fan speed down in 2d mode.

What is your idle temp?

Superfly

temps are a bit wierd, I idle on the windows desktop @ between 52-56. Running a 3D app in a loop for a few hours raises this but only to 69.

My conclusion on this so far is that they run hot in 2D but dont get much hotter in 3D, even after several hours. Certainly I have never had a lock up or any artifacting with the card.

Same temps here.

Funny that the Fan spins up when loading a movie...
