Nero 7 Ultra Edition

I got something weird here first i installed a fresh copy of Nero 7 from a complete removal with the clean tool to fix some asociations. I went the update option and i got an error saying ERROR_Query_Syntex when updating so i went to Nero i did an update through the network download.

103 Meg file no big deal so i download and ran the update and it tells me nero demo is installing showing my product key.

I thought this was an update not the Demo so know its updated with full Use but tells me in Add Remove ite, Nero 7 Demo.

Any have an idea what with this program and why i get demo as the install when i installed bot box version?

Im between you. Whats in Champaign? but Man i had issues too like that. Milwaukee is ok my Friend Ray lived there and i picked on him cuz i live in Chicago which is worlds bigger but he moved back to Arlington Heights.

Im thinking of using the Intervideo stuff from my ASUS board cd bonus gift.

I hate Nero7 ultra too ,I bought the download version thinking it would be better,but it did not take long for it to be uninstall and went back to my Nero 6 ultra,But anyway if you bought the download version Just install the Demo version and when you get though Go to and click on StartSmart icon and then click on nero in the upper left hand corner and then you will see the place where your Serial number is and click on Enter new Serial number and put in the one that Nero sent you from your email and then click on the little plus sign by your new serial number and then it should pop up saying that you have just register your new Nero 7 Ultra Edtion and click OK.

I don't get it maybe I'm just lucky but so far I've had no problems with 7. I haven't burned many audio discs, which maybe has something to do with it, but quite a few DVD+R and +R DL.

You guys have alot of problems with this software. Its just like the old days when this software did what its supose to do and thats it. I used Roxio for years but you know service pack 2 hates roxio as bad as you guys hate Nero 7. I even loved 6 but with more newer technology, im almost poised to go with new software.

I will be calling Nero for some bitching and i will let you guys know what they said.

Well I never had any problems burning DVDs or anything like that...just music CDs. I don't burn many, but man, when I need to and I end up wasting 7 discs because the software is crap, that's just not cool.

I understand making some code changes and all the additional bells and whistles that they added to 7 (some of which are really, REALLY nice), but why the HELL would you mess with the actual code that burns the discs? It worked perfectly before, so just leave it be, damn it!

Thank You i agree, leave it alone. I found that, as of April 19 on Nero.com the latest version seems to be ok here and i checked alot of the stuff on the app and did some tests and got decent results.

I think there are getting the point from all these threads so there working hard know and getting it right.

I'm not sure, but it pisses me off as well. I think if you try to re-register it under the Help menu that it takes care of this for some people.

It can't be since I have no games installed that use StarForce and I haven't had any installed since I last formatted.
