I think it is about 1kg but I might remember it wrong. Anyway, the Zalman is a great way to reduce the noise in the box from gfx. I, for sure, will not consider the GFFX in my box. Not that my box is very quite but the noise it generates is a complete bs. It is unbearable and annoying. Once you go for a quiet set up, you won't go back :)

barely 400 grams

I can even overclock the core 5 MHz than I could with stock cooling :)
