The Pacers are going to be this year's Steelers of the NBA.

*I wish* :D Let the games begin! If the Pacers can somehow get past NJ and meet up with Miami...oh boy, the Pacers have Miami's number. Hey, a guy can dream! :p

Psssh, I wanna see Pacers/Detroit.

Clay

Oh so do I, believe me. :) They've gotta get past NJ and then MIA or CHI first though...it's a longshot to say the least. Just one year I'd like to see the Pacers not have 40 different starting lineups during a season. Injuries stink.

Mavs are gonna get jacked like they do every playoffs. I'm rooting for PHX and LeBron/CAVS!

I think the Spurs will win it all even though they haven't looked dominant.

I'm rooting for the Spurs in the West and the Cavs in the East. I'm also rooting for Dallas and Detroit if the Spurs or Cavs should fall.

Let's go HEAT!(nana2)

How bout them pacers?

Heat/bulls and the lakers/suns series could also be entertaining. Well balanced.

Some awful calls so far these playoffs though.

Yeah, they grinded out one of the most exciting games I've seen so far in this year's playoffs. If they win with JO and Peja being no-shows for most of a game like that, well, that's a good sign of their depth...something the Nets seriously lack.

I seriously doubt Carter is gonna be allowed to jack em all up like today though :)

But yah, Peja and jermaine need to step it up.

Clay

Yeah, Carter won't have another game like that. In balance, though, with that and then JO and Peja stinking it up (until JO woke up a bit in the 4th) I think every game should be good contest. I couldn't believe game 2 is Tuesday night, I was assuming the NBA would have it scheduled sometime the first week of May. :D

Well, the Heat and Bulls are playing tonite :)

I am definitely watching that one.

The bulls have a good team. And Nocioni is one dirty player lol.

Yea the bulls were raining jump shots in game 1. It's gonna be interesting to see if they can do the same tonight. I think the heat really need to get Zo back. Shaq could get into some foul trouble like in game 1.

Shaq looked great on saturday.

I haven't seen him move like that in a coupla seasons.

I agree. I just think with Zo healthy they have a better game when shaq's on the bench.

I dunno how quickly he can come back from a torn calf muscle.

Keep in mind, he can't take pain-killers.

Marvel_us
04-24-06, 02:06 PM
Me either. The way the annoucers were talking made it seem like he could possibly come back for game 2 or 3. I assumed longer than that, a torn calf muscle sounds pretty bad.

Sazar

It was a partial tear, but dood's like a friggin kangaroo.

You KNOW he's gonna stress those muscles.

I seriously doubt he'll be back before he's 100% ready though.

Doleac played decent last game. Is Haslem suspended for this game? Or did they just glue his mouth-piece to his teeth?

Marvel_us

Lol, I don't know. Hopefully he didn't though.

Yea, Haslem is suspended.

And so is Artest, yet he got three stitches courtesy of Ginobili's early elbow to his mouth.

Shaq looked good, but then again, he should have looked great when playing against Chandler! :D

A few stitches floating around. Dood last night got busted in the face AND called for the foul. Kobe last night also got smacked in the face and walked round with a welt, no call.

:)

I gotta love refs sometimes. Sure it's playoff basketball but isn't it obvious that something had to happen for a guy to be walking round with a friggin welt on his face or bleeding down the side of the face?

If they can do action replays for shots, get another ref up there to alert the refs of the fouls. They stop play and discuss anyways as it is. The replays are instantaneous.

I'm not for replays typically but there were some awful calls over the weekend related to fouls.

Re: Shaq, he was just moving well. He was rotating on defense and he was blocking/shooting well and just having fun. It's been a long time since I've seen him be like that out there. Admittedly the playoffs ARE his time, but still, it was nice to see :)
