I just ordered a new vid card, and I see a lot of people on here talking about using a driver cleaner program before installing new drivers. They are both GeForce....but different series, one is a 5700 i believe 128mb and the new one is a 6800 512mb. I guess I just need to know what I need to do to be sure that everything goes smoothly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, a link to a driver cleaning program would be helpful as well. Thanks! Also, as far as overclocking how do I do it...and something about Coolbits and should I get another fan.....sigh I guess I just wanna make sure that my vid card doesnt blow up and performs well...what do i need to do?

You can get coolbits here (as well as NVTweak) here:

Basically, it just modifies the registry to unlock some hidden features in the drivers.

I'm not a big fan of driver cleaner although several swear by it. I'd just remove your previous drivers and install whatever ones you want for the new card. With driver cleaner, you can remove too much if you're not careful and actually make things harder than it should be. In fact, I usually just install right over the previous driver without uninstalling first. Since you're switching cards though, I'd probably at least remove the previous set.

Edit: You can get driver cleaner here: http://www.drivercleaner.net/
