View Full Version : Low-end modern Nvidia based AGP with 1680x1050 support?

I apologize if this is in the wrong area - I'm not sure if resolution support is driver or hardware based.

I just put together a rather low end PC with integrated S3 video on board, but it doesn't support 1680x1050...

Can anyone suggest a semi-modern Nvidia based AGP card that supports this resolution? It doesn't have to be a performance card - yes, I want 3d support to do things like Google Earth on it, but this by no means is a gaming machine.

Thanks in advance!

My dad is running an eVGA 6200 at 1920x1200(he has a Dell 2405FPW). Its working great for him. I would highly suggest that card.

Thanks.. This is for a Gateway FPD2185W 21" widescreen ... anything other than 1680x1050 looks horrible - even more so when it's using the VGA connector to the monitor (I reserved the DVI connection for my gaming box).

Would any of the Geforce FX (5 series) cards support his resolution?
