Im getting a 9700 but im not sure if i should get a pro or non pro card. Is the pro faster than the non pro? I have found that the non pro cards are cheaper. I would like to hear ur input. Thanks

basically ati makes the pro versions of their cards therefore the quality variance is reduced... :)

but this does not mean that the 9700 NON-pro is going to be a bad card :)

basically the bios is locked for oc'ing but you can dl a hacked bios which will allow you to oc it :)

the 9700pro operates on clocks of 325/310 (core/memory) whereas the clocks for the 9700 NON-pro are a little less running @ 275/270...

here is a nice site with good info that could prove useful... yes its in german but the tables are easy to read :)

yes, the Pro cards are faster. and ATI does not make any of the non-Pro cards.
