Ok, so i got my leadtek 7600GT last week. It's a really great card but wtf is wrong with the fan speedup? (i gather that its a problem with most 7600GT cards).
The card dont get hot, its about 52c idle. The problem is that sometimes in Windows the fan speedsup and when exiting a game the fan keeps spinning in like 5 min before it goes down to idle mode.
Also when i play counter-stike sometimes the fane spins down to "deksptop" speed....
I'm really hoping the new rivatuner will be able to adjust fan speeds or that there will be a better bios.

Anny one here got the same problems?

hello mate,

I've not had any problems with the fan slowing down during gaming, as you say they dont run that hot anyway.

It also does'nt take any longer than my old 68GT to spin down after gaming, the 68GT took ages for me also.

Im going to put a Zalman VF900 on mine to get rid of the fan noise anyway - I got used to having the VF700 on the 68.

I would suggest you do the same, its cheap, easy to use and you can take it with you to your next GPU.

What about a bios editor to edit the fan speed?

indeed you can.

Btw. its very impressive it can run on my Fujitsu-siemens pc. It only got a 270w PSU :o

yeh 7600Gt only draws 69w ish so no need for the power connector.

Well if i can't hear my PC Fans, i have an uncommon feeling that the whole system been dead, normally i can hear something from the fans when something is going wrong or when the temps are getting to hot etc etc.
