If it does have xdr-ram, isnt that going to be a bit expensive and push the price up? They should stick with GDDR4 ram.

Wikipedia is user based information, anyone can freely update and change the information... its not like its locked....

You can change it right now and say ATI is co-developing it... and no one would stop you...

I doubt Nvidia is too concerned with that - just look at how many people here are willing to pay $1200 to refresh their SLI setup from 7800GTX to 7900GTX. Maybe they will put different memory on the mid-range and below products.

Yeah, it sounds like a bunch of shots-in-the-dark to me. I can do that pretty good too...

"Yeah its probably got some pixel thingers and some vertex RAMs, and err... several megachips worth of GUI stuff."

just the word of dualcore GPU is enough to make me PUKE!

Gonna need one of those power cords from a dryer to run a SLI rig with a couple of these I bet.

"dual-core" GPU's are kind of an oxymoron, I know. But there are reasons why one might want to split a GPU in sepparate chips.( e.g. yields or lower R&D if you develop a single chip and reuse ala voodoo. It's arguable if it's more trouble than it's worth)

Im pretty sure the VSA-100 chips from 3dfx each needed their own memory, so that isnt really a very good way to save money these days. If "dual core" cards were made using similar technology to 3dfx's we'de be paying out the ass for 1gb video cards and only getting 512mb of usable memory (similar to SLI is now).

If they eventually started putting 4 seperate chips on a single card we'd be looking at paying for 2gb of memory for a single 512Mb video card.

As far as I know, there still arent any multi chip solutions that can "share" graphics memory, but if there are, then multi chip cards probably wouldnt be a bad idea.
