I'm running 6.1-PRERELEASE, and have used the latest nvidia-driver port (also the newest nvidia released driver), and I can't seem to get it to create the /dev/nvidiactl (which xorg complains is missing) when the driver loads. This is on a Dell Latitude 820 with the Quadro 110 video card.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!
Eric

I just ran into the same problem. For me, it was because I had loaded acpi_video in /boot/loader.conf. If this module is loaded, it grabs the card before the nvidia driver can.
