Not practical for my uses. I would (personally) only use it on a file server. Actually I just got a 300 gig at Frys, on sale, for $89.00 a few weeks ago. Installed a 40 gig ide for the OS, and slapped the 300 gig sata for file storage only (for a customer). See how long it takes them to fill it up. If it is quick, then just maybe I might have to look into one of these things. What blows me away is, the whole system I put together, SFF (Nforce 3 mobo) AMD 64 3000+, 300 gig sata, 40 gig ide, 1 gig mem, burner, cost me a little bit less than this drive alone. The price per gig is decent, but I rather put it toward something else. Plus drives that large make me a bit nervous, especially when they want to take a flying leap.
Looks good for people that need it though.

Nice. But I want terabyte drives. :D

Well they said 10x the storage capacity is possible, as they refine the tech we may see larger drives.
BTW - Filling up a drive like that is nothing when you have an HD Movie library :)
yea when they refine the process, 1TB drives here we come :)
btw, whoever had the idea of that get perpendicular flash should be committed.
