What`s the average OC of 9700 PRO at present ?

Now that GFFX has flawed, I`m gonna convert (first ATI in my life). I`m only angry about the fact that I was waiting for GFFX so long. I should`ve bought 9700 PRO three months ago when I wanted. But those marketing folks at nVidia were really good. I`m not gonna believe them anymore. It`s a good lesson of life, nevertheless. Enough ranting (sorry, couldn`t help it after so many months of waiting and lies), here`s what I`d like to know:

Now, that the card is being manufactured for about half year (or more), the yields should be better, therefore I expect better OC`bility. What`s the average OC you have managed to get with your 9700 or 9700 PRO ? I don`t need stable 3dMark frequencies. It`s enough if games don`t hang.

And does somebody think we`ll see retail (not paper) 350 within 3 months ? (I`d wait then for 350, since if I waited till now, it would be stupid to shell out the same amount of cash as 3 months ago)

I got one of the first Radeon 9700 PROs, and it's an excellent overclocker.

The speeds are 370 on the core with STOCK cooling, and 690 on the memory with TweakMonster Copper RamSinks.

400MHz core and 720MHz memory, you will be able to hit using a dustbuster like NV30 fan. :)

Ramsinks help too. ;)

Are you guys with high overclocks using x4 or x8 agp ? and are they on deafult volts (1.5v or 0.8v) ?

AGP 4x as that's the highest my A7M 266 supports. Yes, they are the default volts.

Thinking of ordering a Zalman VGA Heatpipe cooler to crank the core even higher than it is right now :firedevil

Some good overclocks there then. :)

My best so far on agp x8 and default volts and cooling is

350Mhz core, 640Mhz mem.

that gives me 16235 3Dmarks.
