"Rainbow" textures in dark tunnels?

Decided to re-play HL2 in advance of Episode One coming out...

However... I have an odd graphics issue in the Canals.

There is a slight rainbow effect on the textures in the dark tunnels that completely disappear when i hit them with a flashlight. Almost looks like those colors you get when you have oil in a puddle of water.

I tried taking a screenshot, but for some odd reason the walls are completely black in the screenshots even though I can see them when playing.

Running 84.25 with 7800GTX SLI.

Any thoughts?

turn down gamma, thats what tech support told me to do a few months ago and it worked.

I'm getting blue specular in dark tunnels in CS:S.

I assume its some driver bug.
