I just installed the last nvidia driver for linux (1.0-8756) but when I now want to play my games I can't get them to play in fullscreen. With the 1.0-8178 drivers I didn't had that problem.
I have to tell that I also upgraded my kernel to 2.6.16-ck8.
My system is an acer aspire 1360 with an GeForce fx Go5200 card on a resolution of 1280x800. My linux distro is Ubuntu Breezy. I didn't change anything on my Xorg.conf. Can somebody help me?

This issue has been discussed in other threads on this forum. You need to add the modes that you wish to use in the game to the Modes line in your X configuration.

Thanks,
Lonni

Thanks for the answer, but I already tried this. When I do this my session starts in a resolution of 1024x768 and not in the 1280x800 mode. In 1024x768 everything is blurry.
Here is my xorg.conf like it worked with the 8178 driver and without any problems.
It is a little bit messy though.

Please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log.

The problem is solved, I started with an fresh Xorg.conf and changed this one to use with the nvidia driver. Now everything works fine. I think it had something to do with my xorg.conf that was messed up. Maybe with the composite and allowglxwithcomposite options.

Sorry to bother and thanks again.:D
