I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK K!
Seriously, I had something strange happen- maybe you guys can help:
My new system is up and running:
A64 3400 (s754- 2.4GHz)
Epox 8NPA-SLi
MSI NX7600GT HD (2nd one should be here around Wed or Thurs)
2GB DDR500 @ DDR400 CAS2
After I got Windows installed and all the appropriate drivers installed, blah blah blah and yadda yadda yadda (ya'll know the routine)- I tried to access the two forums I frequent the most- AMDZone (#1 for proc's in my opinion) and nVnews (#1 overall, imo).
Well, the front pages would always load fine- but I could never access the forums. It would always say my browser has encountered an error and needed to close. This is with ANY browser (IE, IE7 beta, the Yahoo browser, FF, Opera, etc).
And suddenly, it is working. Stange? The only thing I did was I recently purchased the package deal from Futuremark for 03, 05, 06, and PCMark05- so I then registered at their forums. And it let me access them. And now I have been successful in accessing these forums. Any idea what might have been up?

You know what, I went to- I think it was futuremark.com- and the little pop-up thingy in IE7 came up asking me if I wanted to download the latest version of Flash and I said yes. Then is when everything started working.
That is probably what it was. So far I've been posting away and no problems.
Oh, btw- this 7600GT PWNS!!!!!!!!!!! I love it and can't wait for the second. Got this is the best $200 purchase I've ever made I think- other than the 2gigs of ram.

Nice job on the 7600GT. I recently just upgraded to the 7600 GT KO and I love it. It isn't the best card by far but it get's the job done and it is a major improvement over my 7300 GT Turbocache. There is a definite improvement in gaming.

I'm mostly stoked about the increased IQ- and by image quality I mean Transparency AA and Gamma Corrected AA.
So far, in ALL 3DMark test the 7600GT produces about 1K overall 3DMark score. In HL2 I'm playing at 1920x1440 with 2xQ AA/16xAF, vsync enabled, trible buffering enable, trilinear mipmap filtering, Gamma corrected AA on, Transparency AA @ Supersampling, and it runs smoother than butta'! HL2: LC and EP1- same settings just minus the AA obviously. And it plays silky smooth. Haven't tried Quake4 yet, but I will. I'm waiting for the second card before I play Quake4. I want to crank the IQ up "Ultra" and see if this new system can handle it. ;)
Even in BFME I can now play at completely maxed everything (meaning 1920x1440 res, with 2xQ AA and 16 AF with everything else cranked way teh poo up) and it seldom hiccups. This is an extremely awesome card- well worth the $189 pre shipping. I recommend it to anybody in the market for a new PCI-e card that can't afford to go highend. It definitely feels "better" than the 6800GT. It isn't so much that it just smokes the 6800GT in performance (cause it really doesn't), it is just that you gain so much- better IQ WITH playable framerates. Add a second one in the mix and you get wicked awesome performance.
