Meh, the best Chinese resturants I've eaten at, were when I used to live in New Jersey. Either at China Town (in NYC), or even in New Jersey itself, there were many good places. Almost anywhere else I've been to thus far...
Ugh, up further north (well in Maine specifically), China Harbor actually served stir fry with American gravy on top, and called that Chinese :barf: I didn't have the heart to suggest they should go back to China, and learn how to cook :eek:

Actually the chinese food in China, here in Hong Kong is lot more different than what you get in the US...and UK by experience for me. Doesn't mean it is better here.
My mate who is from the US, says the differenece is so much as in the US the chinese food there has been localised to taste. But, he and his wife sometimes crave for what they had grown accustomed to in the US

I once ate at an authentic Chinese food restaurant here in new york (around St Marks Square if anyone is interested). The entire menu was in chinese. Some of the stuff was really good (I had some sort of ginger chicken), but they had some WACKED out food like bull penis and cow testicals.
